History of Heritage Horse Logging
Dedication. Hard work. Determination to succeed against the odds.
On his 7th birthday, Shawn Danaher's father gave him a chain-saw. Fourteen years later, Heritage Horse Logging was founded with 2 draft horses and a dream. That a lumberjack could make a living the old way. Shawn and his horses worked through snow and ice of Eastern Canada, dragging 8 to 16 ft logs from the forrest to roadside. Now 20 years later in a new country, Heritage Horse Logging is back in business bringing the same heart and work ethic to North Georgia. We are currently taking customers for tree removal in the surrounding areas of Northwest Atlanta. Our goal is to reinvest profits into a horse team by summer 2017. This allows tree removal with low environmental soil impact on your properties within and around Atlanta, Georgia.
All estimates are free and we will beat any written quote within our capability.
I will take down a tree with low impact to your property to spare precious home and garden structures as it falls. I never compromise quality for time and give my clients realistic schedules that accommodate their lives. I strive for honest customer service, so contracts are only paid in full when the finished work is to your complete satisfaction. We carry $1,000,000 liability insurance so your home and property are in safe hands.

MY NAME IS Shawn Danaher
I was given my first chainsaw at the age of 7 by my father, to help him cut down lumber on our 325 acre ranch in Quebec for firewood to keep our family warm through the Canadian winters. I completed a Forrest Technician degree at College and apprenticed with a native Quebecois family of 14 in the ways of tree cutting with ropes and chainsaws. I emigrated to the US in 2015 after marring my sweet, dedicated wife Maggie and we now have a beautiful baby girl, Ariah together.
